Bihar's village celebrated Saraswati Puja with a unique theme; People hailed Goddess Saraswati keeping the tradition alive; The 'Theme' signifying the Farmers and Agriculture

Bihar's Village Hilalpur(Purvi Tola, near Hanuman Mandir) immersed with the glory of joy and dedication on the eve of Saraswati Puja (Bashant Panchami: the arrival of Spring season ), On Tuesday 16 Feb 2021. The people further said that Saraswati Puja fell on an auspicious day i.e. On Tuesday (the day is related to Lord Hanuman) this year. So they felt immense emotionally attached. Like Durga Puja, the 'THEME' was chosen which was based on the Agriculture sector.

The Goddess Saraswati's Pandal was decked up in hues of red, yellow and white with adorable balloons as its border. The goddess Saraswati statue was designed extreme beautifully representing her versatile nature. As she is considered the deity of wisdom, music, culture and is celebrated in many parts across the globe.


Bhog or Prasad means offerings
The students and other people performed all rituals and offerings to Goddess Saraswati. Later Bhog(Prasad) was served to all visitors including Women devotees. The Offerings were made up of Jicama(Tuberous root), Carrots, Grapes, Boondi, Bananas, Jujube or Ber.
 

Later in evening sweet Indian Dish called halwa was served to people as Bhog or Prasad. The local women gathered in the evening to offer religious and regional songs to Goddess Saraswati for wisdom and progress of the entire village.



The 'Theme' signifying the Farmers and Agriculture 



The Hilalpurians(local people) exclaimed about 'Theme' that they wanted to portray Farmers and Agriculture importance in the development of one's country in the modern scenario. They also said that no one can imagine their life without food, No farmers means no food.


Farmers and innovation in Agriculture sector mean a lot to the Economy and Society of one nation.  The message of this 'Theme' was also to create a vision about the struggles that farmers are facing. After all, farmers are the lifeline of the Nation.
